About

Bejil Thomas was born in Chicago Illinois, just a few city blocks where his parents settled, immigrating from from Kerala, India in 1976. Thomas is an architect, animator, world traveler, film lover, and photographer. His father was an amateur illustrator and photographer, his mother a registered nurse, and from them he learned a deep love of craft and hard work. As a first generation American, Thomas grew up with one foot in both in India and his native America. From biannual trips overseas to India and abroad, he learned an appreciation for all cultures, and a perspective on what motivates people and societies. Thomas has long held an appreciation for nature, rooted in his grandfather’s occupation as a rural farmer. From him Thomas learned the importance of harmony among all things, a quality that guides his work.
